One QR link for your app and website

Set a reliable website fallback, add relevant app-store destinations and test device routing before sharing a QR code.

Choose a useful default

Start with a public website that explains your app and offers the available download options. It is the fallback when a device does not match a specific destination. Prefer a page you control, and make its branding and purpose consistent with the printed QR label.

Add the correct store links

Enter your iPhone and Android store URLs in their matching destination fields. Add iPad or other platform destinations only when they are genuinely different and supported. Check that each URL opens the intended listing in the regions you serve; a valid URL alone does not establish app availability.

Test routing, not assumptions

Scan the same saved code using an iPhone, an Android phone and a desktop browser. Test an in-app browser too if that is how your audience arrives. Device detection uses browser information and can be imperfect. It does not prove an app is installed or guarantee that a browser will launch it.

Keep the promise on the label

A label such as “Download our app” should lead to that app or an honest fallback. Do not use device routing to conceal unrelated, deceptive or harmful destinations. After editing a target, recheck every configured platform. Scan totals measure redirects, not completed installs, registrations or purchases.
